Here’s a thread for general tech support questions. If you don’t see it answered or linked here, go ahead and start a fresh thread and we’ll link it here later.

This is extremely embarrassing. It was cat vs. Device, and the cat won. What size spring do I go find at my locally owned emporium of good stuff? I should have known he would investigate the moment my back was turned.

Kris, for the scotch tension? You can use any spring of a size that will fit in there. Different strengths will perform differently. We ship Devices with a fairly small, fairly light spring half an inch long. At the hardware store, look for a light spring. It’s not a precision part, so you have lots of options, and you might even find you want to have multiple and try different ones!

In the meantime, you can also substitute a rubber band or hair elastic, and in fact, some prefer this.

I’m wondering what kind of battery life other folks are getting? I’m getting <2 hours of battery life from a full charge), with about a week of stand-by time in between.

I have a couple questions about mine – first, I’m having a hell of a time with the speed control. it’s CRAZY fast and CRAZY sensitive. I will literally move it a millimeter and it goes from way too slow to warp speed. Tach range when the little line on the speed control is at about 5:00 and then at 5:00 plus one millimeter is 75 to almost 800. I’m finding my comfort zone is about 450-500 but I can’t seem to find that in a steady sweet spot. Is this supposed to be like this? Second – my flyer. It looks like a majacraft, but doesn’t LOOK like a majacraft. It’s not the typical fit and finish of their flyers – glue around the edges, the sliding hook won’t slide. Could I have gotten a mock-up and not the real deal? If not, how can I make that sliding hook slide better? Last, my husband accidentally bent the plug to the foot pedal while moving it (it got jammed by the handle) and now it won’t work. Can I get another one if he can’t fix it?
